Story:
In 2001, Robert Brittan, then winemaker at Stags' Leap Winery, commissioned an estate book from Colored Horse Studios. Producing an average of one book a year, the five-volume limited edition set was completed in 2006. Each book is illustrated by a different artist; each opens in a different direction. The unusual structure, beginning with an open-flap linen portfolio case, is designed to reflect the unique qualities of the estate of Stags' Leap, its history and wines.
